Chapter 7: Luna Lumos Maximos and the Battle of Nine Hands

The second Zsolista stepped through the burnt gate – a tall arch of shiny black stone with twisty letters and thorny vines turned to glass by old fire – the world got super bright!

Each step sounded like a temple bell. The air felt thick and glowy. Lines of blue-white light ran along the inside of the gate, pulsing like a heartbeat.

Everything was quiet, like the air was holding its breath.

Then came a shimmer – not a sound, but like the whole tower took a deep breath.

From the dark part of the tower stepped Luna Lumos Maximos, one of the Nine Daemon Kings! He glowed with light and had shadows around him. He looked both important and scary!

Nine hands appeared around him – two on his sides, three behind each side, and one made by his glowing tail! Each hand pulsed with different magic: fire, water, wind, light, darkness, lightning, and hot lava. Two hands were still closed tight.

He didn't talk.

He didn't blink.

He just moved!

Luna zoomed forward like lightning – fast and angry!

He threw a ball of hot lava wrapped in swirling winds! It hit the floor in front of them and exploded into hot air and fire! Before they could move, he shot two beams of light and shadow – twisting together and crashing!

Then – CRACK! – a bolt of lightning exploded through it all, making a bright, scary pillar!

Zsolista moved fast!

The explosion hit like a falling rock! The fire and lightning tore through the room, breaking stone and making shiny pieces fly everywhere! The heat made the air wavy, and the walls shook!

Zsolista’s eyes flashed! Her arms flew out, making magic shields before she even thought! She didn't think – she just moved! Everything in her, every lesson she learned, answered perfectly!

Lots of sparkly signs appeared around her fingers! Magic words pulsed! She stood with her legs wide and strong as the world tried to break! She didn't just want to block – she wanted to live, strong and steady like a fire!

Then came a shout:

"Boka – shield time! Baby – sharp jaws!"

She held tight! Boka made a shiny shield of sparkly crystal and mirrors! Baby turned into sleek, sharp jaws that snapped around Zsolista’s shoulders to protect her!

From her Bag of Wonderment, Zsolista swallowed a seed-shaped gem that turned her legs into strong, twisty wood that dug into the ground!

Luna’s big blast crashed into them!

"BOOOOOOKAAAA!" Boka screamed, his shield cracking!

But Baby’s jaws turned, catching the force and turning it into healing wind!

The wind wrapped around Zsolista, her wooden roots glowing green and gold as they pulled life from the ground! Energy pulsed through her, and the swirling wind took the hit!

When the light went away, they were still standing – covered in smoke, the air wavy around them!

Zsolista breathed out slowly, steam coming from her lips like she was blowing away the blast! Her roots shook, her arms felt heavy, but her eyes stayed on Luna, angry!

The room around them was messed up – pillars broken, floor burnt, the air smelling like burnt stuff and hot lava!

Hurt – burnt – but not beaten!

Luna grinned, stepping forward, his nine hands glowing brighter like a storm getting ready again!

"You are stronger than they said! But now, I finish you!"

He opened his last two hands!

From one poured blood!

From the other – yucky rot!

His body swelled up with scary power! A big mouth opened on his tummy, full of shiny teeth! The blood and rot hands plunged into the mouth and pulled out a shiny, mean, old gem!

"I have the power of forever – and the Diamond Almond Gloves of Herr! Kneel!"

Zsolista narrowed her eyes.

"No!"

She called out: "Horns of Kirin! Claws of Thundra! Body of the Auspicious Serpent!"

Baby turned into divine horns, twisting up like a god’s antlers, crackling with lightning from stormy skies! The air around her shimmered with electric waiting, thunder whispering secrets down Zsolista’s back!

Boka turned into scaled claws, his body flowing into sharp talons with old moon writing on them! Each letter pulsed with moonlight! The claws clicked once – like a bell ringing deep in the ocean!

Their magic joined together like a reborn storm! It wrapped around Zsolista, making armor of gold-blue snake scales, each scale with echoes of old storms! The scales flickered like distant lightning on a dark sea, full of memory, strength, and the quiet before a big fight!

She stood reborn:

THUNDRA KIRIN: SHENLONG FORMATION!

Luna struck first, fists burning with magic fury!

Zsolista met him head-on! Her snake-scale armor shimmered with electric power as she blocked, hit back, and spun – each move a perfect twist of blade and grace! Her claws scratched sparks from his shield-hand, her lightning horns clashing with fire in a flash of bright light!

He threw fast punches of fire, water, shadow, light, and hot lava – each one like a little storm! She blocked the fire and pushed away the rushing water! She ducked under the light, but the fourth punch, a burning wave of lava, hit her hard in the tummy, making her slide backward!

Then came the fifth!

A spear of pure darkness shot from Luna’s fist, hitting her shoulder with a silent scream! The hit knocked her off balance! Darkness bled from the wound, spreading like ink in water, crawling down her arm!

Zsolista screamed, her voice cut short by the pain! Baby, feeling her hurt, let out a cyclone of healing wind that wrapped around Zsolista, but the shadow fought back, sticking to her veins, whispering yucky stuff into her bones!

Growling, Zsolista made a sharp piece of ice magic! With super focus, she pressed it to the wound! Ice grew, trapping the darkness in crystal! The rot stopped – for now!

Above, Luna floated, arms out, charging another blast so strong it bent the air!

Zsolista rose, breathing hard but eyes sharp!

"It’s time!"

With a flash, Boka and Baby became her again, their forms turning into mirror-magic copies! Three Zsolistas stood together perfectly – one real, two fake, all with the same heartbeat!

Boom… boom… boom…

They moved as one!

Dodging, spinning, disappearing through fire and shadow, appearing right after each punch! The room became a blur of gold and blue, electricity and anger!

They jumped high, meeting in the air above Luna!

All three shouted together, voices loud with thunder:

"I punch you like THIS – BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

Luna Lumos Maximos flew backward – through one wall, then another – his body cracking with light! He disappeared into the dark!

Silence fell!

Then things started to crumble!

Then a quiet, shaky silence, like the tower held its breath!

Zsolista fell to her knees, the force of the punch still shaking her bones! Her copies faded in flashes of light, their shared heartbeat going back to just one tired heart!

Baby coughed out sparks and curled around her arm to keep her safe!

Boka groaned, smoke coming from his cracked horns. "I feel like a melted donut… with no yummy filling!"

Together, they stumbled to the broken doorway! Stone cracked under their feet! Ash and embers floated on a wind that smelled like burnt silk and thunder!

There it waited – a door to craziness! A maze that didn't make sense, walls folding in, paths going nowhere! Time felt twisted! Nothing made sense!

Somewhere deep inside, Luna Lumos Maximos moved!

Still alive!

Still burning with anger!

Waiting!

The ending of this one cracks me up. This is AZS favorite saying right now its because LCH saw this tiktok where the guy would just say Boom boom boom 10 times or something and its all AZS says after a story. 

"Make them Boom boom boom!"

So adorable haha.
