ART ROOM

This room showcases some of the art pieces we have done as a collective. I'll give a brief description and back story to each piece. Most of these aren't done and we don't think they will ever be  done. Each creation is a piece of us, our soul brought out to the world. I believe that each art, any art you or I create, is part of our soul that wishes to be brought out to the light. That's why I love abstract art so much, as its truly only unique to the person creating it. An expression of love, hate, knowledge, skill, acumen, you name it. This is us. This is AFALOZ.

Olmec and Mother

During a warm moment in this cold spring, I found some time to realize that the most important parts of life belong to me. I do not owe these moments to anyone but myself and who I share it with is by my own choosing. Too often I worry about life and jobs work whatever it is. Too much time is given to things that dont matter to me. I am happy when I create, I am happy when I see the world nurtured by the world while living in this place given to us by mother nature. If Olmec could see us, he would smile as the trees blossom every spring.

Basquiat and the Burial

This was started when we first moved here and we didnt even have a desk in the house. I revisited it in the spring of 2025 while we were at the park. I just woke up and finished watching a Basquiat documentary and he bled through the art again. I was attempting to paint a few trees I saw and this rock formation the kids were playing on but it ended up looking like an indian burial sight. The eye of god is always watching and the influence of others bleeds away the originality. AMZ saved it by adding to the chaotic composition of my whims.

Grandpa's Mahjong Game

My mother told me my grandfather died in 2023 and I didnt know how to handle it. I still dont really know how to handle it, I cant seem to remember much about him besides that he played alot of dominoes and mahjong and I would ask him for some peso's underneath the table whenever I could so I could buy some Coca-cola from the store next door. If he said no I would steal it but it is what it is. This was a time where I was learning about classical art and the significance of the dove and the finger pointing a certain way. I have no sense for art and it always falls to abstract when I try to lable it. When I see this though I see what I felt no matter how it looks, I know how it feels.

  • Price and Integrity

I don't plan on selling these is what I tell myself.

This is a lie, I just don't see anyone buying.

Yet, would I really ever let go?

  • Aloneness

Surrounded by everyone, I feel the vast ocean

I am a fish, swimming with my flock

A drop that cannot quench their thirst

  • Free

We have free stories, free haikus, and free insights. One day we will be able to give out free paintings for others to sell so they can make a small fortune off of our work as we will hopefully be in a place that we wont need for money. That we can help others with the "value" we have provided.

Sw33t Tomato

This was the first painting that I started and the rest of the family helped painted. I would say this was the start of AFALOZ. It holds a very intimate and loving story. I painted it for a child that we lost due to miscarriage. The emotions that it came with and the future it could have been, its all jumbled and confusing. The children dont know this and I dont expect them to read this for a while but they added to the chaos. Where my chaos was filled with grief, angst, anger, destruction, their chaos was different. It had more love to it. More creation than I could muster.

  • The American Dream

When did having as much as possible replace the dream of having a family? I always thought that people wanted more so they could provide for their loved ones but now its just for the sole purpose of having more than others. I cannot stand behind this. I will continue my path of having enough just for my family and the rest can be given freely to the community.

  • Hypocrisy

It is not lost on me that the cost of these art work are ridiculous for an unknown artist. It might be ridiculous for the normal person but I am not targeting normal people. I target those who have excess and wish to flaunt it. A robin hood of sorts with a moral dilemma. Am I really righteous or am I really greedy with a righteous facade?

  • Truth and Objectivity

I want for more, I wish to not part ways with my creations but the need to provide for my true creations is too high to not attempt. I am filled with moral disgust and ethical disillusionment. Is it truly impossible to make money and be morally ethical in the ways I attain that value? What can one do to even provide that level of value? Can art truly be ethical in its valuation?
