Chapter 8: The Endless Labyrinth and the Costly Punch

Luna Lumos Maximos vanished into the dark, flying through the broken walls like a shooting star of light and anger! The hole he left behind shimmered with leftover magic!

Zsolista, Boka, and Baby stood quietly, breathing fast, their hearts beating hard. They knew Luna wasn't beaten – just slowed down! He hadn't fallen for good. Somewhere past the broken wall, his power still glowed angrily!

Zsolista squeezed her fists, feeling the ouch in her shoulders where spells had hit like thunder! Boka floated close, his usual bright glow now just a soft light! Baby’s eyes looked sleepy, but her magic pulsed in soft, tired waves!

They knew the fight wasn't over!

They stepped through the broken wall, not happy, but determined!

The world changed!

They were in a never-ending maze – tall stone walls covered in twisty vines and glowing letters! The walls hummed softly, and the paths curved like a snake! Mist swirled around their feet! Above, there was no sky!

Zsolista looked around. "This floor… it's alive!" she whispered, feeling amazed and a little scared! The walls pulsed like they were breathing, and the glowing letters answered her voice, like they were listening!

Boka pulled out a beat-up broom from his bag! It had a stick handle with ribbons of air tied around it!

"We can ride this! It uses wind and floaty magic! A little squeaky, but fast and breezy! Boka-Boka!"

They climbed on, feeling a little hopeful! Flying made them feel better!

But just as they started to go up – as the wind tickled their toes and they saw the maze below like an old map –

"NO CHEATING, OH GREAT ONE!"

The sky above split with a loud sound! A giant, floating mouth – just a mouth, glowing and with shiny teeth – appeared out of nowhere! Its jaw shook like it was angry!

Its voice cracked like thunder, and the glowing letters on the walls wiggled like they were scared!

Then – WHOMP!

The trio was slammed down, crashing into the stone path with a funny thump! They left a perfect hole in the ground!

"The Great Watcher," Zsolista grumbled, brushing off dust. "He just loves to cause trouble!"

They stood up, bruised and grumpy!

"I guess we walk," Boka said.

"Only if there are snacks!" Baby added. "It's-a-Baby!"

They started walking through the maze, going down paths that all looked the same! Hours went by! Then days! Then weeks! Time felt slow, stretched out, and forgotten!

They saw the same glowing mushrooms three times! A mossy statue of Queen Mother May-or-Zsol winked at them! Boka tried licking a wall to see if it tasted like chocolate. It didn't!

Their snacks were almost gone! Their feet hurt! And Baby started singing sad songs about hot soup and soft beds! Even Boka stopped making silly jokes!

Being lost wasn't just annoying – it was making them mad! The maze made fun of them with its samey walls that twisted back on themselves like tricky riddles! Every turn was just another dead end! Every glowing letter was a tease! Even time felt blurry!

Zsolista had been trying to be brave and funny for a long time! But after the twelfth time they saw a mossy stone that looked like a grumpy potato, she had had enough!

So she did what any smart, sleepy, hungry, lost wizard would do!

She punched the wall!

Hard!

"TOP DRAGON’S COSTLY PUNCH: BANG! BANG! BANG! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

Her fists glowed with old anger! Magic words swirled from her knuckles to her elbows, pulsing with the memory of a million storms!

Baby turned into her right glove – shiny, made of stars, with pictures of constellations that shimmered when she moved! It had a sharp, strong grip!

Boka turned into her left glove – spiky, powered by wind, with gusts from forgotten mountains swirling inside! Lightning danced along its edges, growling with every move she made!

Each punch sounded like a big drum hit by gods – loud, final, and never-ending!

BANG! BANG! BANG! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Maze walls crumbled!

Glowing letters shattered!

Birds screamed and flew sideways! Somewhere far away, a goat fainted! The air above rippled like a curtain being pulled!

For three whole weeks, Zsolista punched! With every hit, she thought of the flower they hadn't found yet, the yummy food they hadn't eaten, the stories they still had to tell!

Then they reached the door to Floor Eight!

It was locked tight!

So she punched it too!

Three more weeks of thunder, hitting, and magic!

Until finally – CRACK! –

The stone split with a groan like the world ending! Light poured through the cracks in bright waves, and the air sang with the taste of what was going to happen!

There, floating in the bright light, stood Luna Lumos Maximos – healed, glowing, and furious! His wounds were gone, but the scar from their fight still glowed darkly on his chest!

His eyes glinted!

He cracked his knuckles! "You came back, hurt but brave! Shall we finish this?"

Zsolista lifted her fists, no words – just lightning in her eyes!

Boka and Baby floated behind her, already glowing, not even hesitating even though they were tired!

They had chased this fight through storms and sadness, through riddles and ruins, and now they stood not just as fighters but as champions!

Baby breathed out a shimmer of steam. "You'll regret stopping us from eating," she muttered, sounding calm but dangerous!

Their shadows stretched towards the doors of battle! The air rippled!

The final fight had begun!

Double post but this will hopefully be very common and hopefully one day I won't be the only one posting. Very excited to get to adventure two and 3 and get to all the other stories. So fun.
